Gregory D. Sargent, CPA

Gregory D. Sargent is a founding shareholder of Kittell, Branagan & Sargent, where he dedicated more than 40 years to building a firm rooted in integrity, professionalism, and forward-thinking leadership. Working alongside his fellow shareholders, Greg helped grow KBS into a team of world-class professionals known for guiding clients through everything from tax reform to economic uncertainty and a global pandemic. His commitment to going beyond traditional compliance—and his belief that great firms think and act differently—has left a lasting imprint on KBS and continues to shape how the firm serves its clients today.

During his tenure as managing shareholder Greg made it his mission to:

  • Encourage a growth mindset that embraced challenges and evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients even in the most difficult circumstances.
  • Built a firm where business owners with $500,000 or $300 million in sales can get the level of service and expertise they need to make the best decisions for their business.
  • Provided clients with a common-sense approach to tax and accounting while being a sounding board for their frustrations and helping them celebrate their wins.
  • Solved the complex problems and help our clients sleep better at night knowing their CPA has their back.
  • Fostered a culture where young professionals could thrive and advance by being exposed to a multitude of opportunities rather than pigeonholing them into one niche.
  • Embraced change with a continuous learning mindset that tackled everything from industry shifts to technological advancements in order to prepare the firm for the future.
  • Championed the CPA profession by offering a positive outlook and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
